Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Java Delivery Manager with a strong background in API development to lead our development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing technical teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Java-based projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of onsite and offshore developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of RESTful APIs, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant.
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize tasks.
- Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Champion Agile practices within the team, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical leadership and support to team members, helping to resolve complex technical issues and enhance their skills.
- Track and report on project progress, performance metrics, and risks, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success.
Requirement:
You are:
- 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in Java programming and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Must have experience with microservices architecture and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (e.g., GIT).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
