**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery/Postpartum
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 7 AM - 7 PM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required; Labor & Delivery experience preferred
**License:** Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of residence or current RN license in the state where residing, or for Non-National License Compact states, required in the state where the RN works
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association
**Job Description:**
- Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers following applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
- Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking.
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contribute to quality nursing practice.
- Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.
- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
- Practice ethically and promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities.
- Develop and nurture research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.

- Requests Time Off is NOT approved for Halloween (10/31/2024). Only 1 holiday is approved for either Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day (02/14/2025).
