Are you a dependable and empathetic individual holding a valid driver's license, eager to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals requiring non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)? We are currently hiring NEMT Drivers to drive in Greenville and surrounding areas.
Position Overview:
As an NEMT Driver, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and comfortable transportation for individuals who require non-emergency medical trips. Your commitment to punctuality, empathy, and professionalism will ensure that our clients receive the high-quality care and assistance they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities.
- Provide assistance with boarding and disembarking, as needed.
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of clients during transportation.
- Adhere to established routes and schedules while maintaining excellent time management.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
- Report any issues or concerns promptly to the transportation coordinator.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Must be willing to work on an "on-call" basis.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and patient demeanor.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Comfortable driving in the Dallas Texas area
- Comfortable working in a medical setting at hospitals, doctor offices, and senior assisted living
- Willing to learn how to load/unload patients in/out of wheelchair vans and differing medical buildings.
