Position Details
This program prepares our older youth for independent living as they transition to adulthood. We are looking for experienced adult staff that can help our youth between the ages of 17 and 18 while they learn the skills they need to transition into independent living.Mentoring is a important and large part of the daily responsibilities of this position .
This position is a home monitor to assist our older youth with daily life responsibilities such as; assistance around the home, homework questions, meal prep, occasional transporting youth to work, appointments, and other events. This opening is providing general assistance to our youth and providing an adult in our homes to supervise, keep our youth safe in their home environment and assist with daily living skills

Wage & Shift Details
Part Time Rotating Afternoons & Overnights
48 Hours Biweekly
$15.00 per hour plus an additional $1.00 per hour for weekend shift premium
This position rotates occasional weekends and holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR and first aid certified
Experience
- Direct care experience in a mental health field or working with vulnerable adults preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English; Spanish preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills with ability to work compassionately and display sensitivity to persons served
Additional Work Requirements
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record, proof of current registration and automobile insurance preferred; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served preferred
