Our manufacturing facilities are highly automated and utilize many leading-edge technologies in the wood products industry.Key FunctionsSupport manufacturing by operating a forklift to maintain a steady flow of units from the Schelling Saws at full production pace and to customer specificationsIs responsible for knowing panel grades, stamps and flowsLearn the duties of the Schelling Saw Operators, and Banders; to provide backup support when neededOperate, service and maintain equipment; including but not limited to performing pre-shift forklift inspection.Complete paperwork in an accurate and legible manner, including completion of move orders, and handling of retestsRequirementsForklift Certification requiredSpecific SkillsConduct daily inspections of all equipmentKnowledge of panels grades, stamps and flows to maintain the flow and organization of product through the Schelling Saws.Ability to maintain the flow of units through the Schelling Saws at full production (capacity) and to customer specificationsAbility to operate, service and maintain equipment; included but not limited to a forkliftAbility to maximize packaging of product and minimize loss to the companyAbility to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivatedAbility to work closely with others; be a team player/leader; demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive attitudeKnowledge and willingness to use safety standards of forklift operation, use lockout procedures and wear necessary PPEAbility to maintain a clean workstation, and exhibit good performance, safety and attendance recordsWillingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime, weekends and holidays when neededPhysical DemandsAbility to sit and drive forklift on a frequent basis; frequently reach and grasp; climb on/off forklift, and occasionally lift/carry up to 50lbsMust have good sight in all parameters of visionAbout Wood Products We've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
