Job Summary
Fleck's Furniture & Appliances is looking for a Delivery and Installation Specialist to join us as a key member of our team! You will be responsible for delivering appliances and furniture into our customer's homes, assembling furniture and installing appliances. Duties will also include receiving, storing and moving materials to/from our warehouse or stockroom. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and are able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
- Follow route and schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class D driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck, pickup truck
- Good organizational & time management skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
