Job Summary and Qualifications

The OB Scrub Tech collaborates with physicians and Registered Nurses to serve in a support role within the L&D. Responsible for supplies, instrumentation, and equipment needed for surgical cases. Proficient in surgical environment as a surgical assistant passing and assisting the physician during surgical cases. Able to create and maintain a sterile field, performing sponge, sharp, and instrument counts accurately and initiating corrective action when counts are incorrect (following AORN guidelines).

What qualifications you will need:

• L&D experience is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Certified Surgical Technician (CST).
