Allied Mineral Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.We are looking for an energetic, motivated and results individual to join our Shapes Team.Wage: $20.25 - $28.16$750 Sign on BonusJob SummaryUnder the direction of the Shapes Shipping and Receiving Supervisor perform all job requirements and functions of the position.Duties and Responsibilities• Load Furnaces and complete confirmations all of shapes in ERP program. Ensure all shapes have material number and casting date printed on them legibly.• Unload Furnaces and complete confirmations all of shapes in ERP program. Unload all shapes from racks as needed and place on pallets. Place large shapes on the correct pallets for shipping as needed.• Unload all trucks delivering supplies. Count and confirm quantities on the packing list.• Operate crane and forklift safely.• Organization/Housekeeping – Maintain clean and organized area around ovens, ramp/receiving area, and finished shapes staging areas.• Miscellaneous Duties include form preparation, refractory installation, assisting operations and shipping with crane operation, and removal of scrap shapes to disposal area.This job description illustrates the types of duties performed in this job. Because job content may change from time to time, the Company reserves the right to add and/or delete tasks from this job at any time.Qualifications• Must be physically and mentally fit for duty.• Must be at least 18 years old.• Dependable and able to maintain the attendance required to perform the job.• Ability to read, write, comprehend and fully understand: SOPs, SDSs, labeling, safety and health regulations, and procedures within the job, this job group and the plant.• Ability to understand basic mathematics.• Must have the ability to operate a crane safely and efficiently and pass required testing to operate a crane.• Be able to pass tests as it relates to the job, including passing the licensing test to operate cranes and forklift.• High school diploma or equivalent required.Working Environment• The job is in a dusty and dirty environment.• Working in a hot and/or cold environment.• Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.Physical Requirements• Must be willing and physically able to lift up to 100 pounds and complete the physical requirements of a Shapes Technician.• Must be able to qualify for and wear a respirator.• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.• It is understood that if a job is offered, applicant must consent to taking a pre-employment drug screening test and/or physical examination as a condition of beginning employment.
