DLN3 - AMHM Lead Driver

ABOUT DLN3-AMHM OPERATIONS
AMHM works out of 1455 Cellular Dr. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The routes out of this station are 10-hour blocks of 200 stops on each route. We deliver using Cargo, Step Van, and Rivian Electric Vehicles. The start time for these routes will currently be at 9:30am.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a lead driver, you will have the opportunity to lead an outbound operation, on a specified shift or across multiple shifts at DLN3.
One of your main focuses will be supporting and training our team to deliver quality service to our customers. To achieve this, lead drivers are creative problem solvers who can make quick decisions on time sensitive inquiries from drivers, Amazon contacts, and company management. Some of the positions key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening (including but not limited to route coverage, device set up, pouch prep, fleet availability, timecard management, etc.)
- Successful Load Out Completion
- Complete white glove or customer escalation deliveries
- Train Drivers, Deliver Routes, Sweep, Rescue, etc.
- On Road Driver Support with package inquiries, vehicle issues, injuries, emergencies, etc.
- Vehicle Support and Maintenance
- Tracking safety events for drivers
- Communicating drivers' performance with management
- Completing essential reports required by management
- Close Out
At times, you will be required to engage in physical activities with or without reasonable accommodation. These activities include the following:
•Lifting and moving material up to 50 pounds
•Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
•Frequent walking in the building and around area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length
•Standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours a day
•Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Basic Qualifications
- "Get it Done" Attitude. Anything it takes to get the job done.
- Take ownership of work and tasks assigned.
- 100% Reliability, no call offs, no no-shows, no excuses.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, if required.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Ability to pass a drug test and additional random samples.
- Be DOT Qualified, complete at-least one route in a Step Van; and maintain qualified status with company DOT vendors.
