Resale Store Pick-Up/Del Driver/Customer Serv Rep

Reports to: Resale Store ManagerMecosta County Habitat for Humanity ReStore seeks a part-time, Donation Procurement / Delivery Driver and Customer Service Representative. 30+ hours per week or more as needed. The driver will be responsible for driving our Habitat ReStore truck to donor locations to pick up donated items. The driver will interact professionally with donors. Driver will be expected to load, unload, lift and move a variety of goods from furniture, housewares, building materials, appliances etc.Customer service responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to customers of the store and donors. Collaboratively with the store staff and volunteers to support all aspects of ReStore operations as needed and in a positive team environment. Sorting, cleaning and pricing items for sale. Applicants must have a good driving record, possess a valid driver's license (CDL license preferred), be able to lift/move 50-75 pounds, and be able to pass a mandated health physical.Employee Status: Hourly 30+ hours per weekGeneral Duties:• Receive donation route provided by ReStore Manager • Load and unload all donated materials in appropriate location and assist in placement of items for retail display • Screen for product usability and follow acceptable donation guidelines • Communicating with ReStore Manager and other staff regarding incoming donations • Track maintenance and servicing of Store vehicles • Occasionally supervise volunteers, making their experience meaningful • Drive MCHFH vehicles to pick-up and deliver donated goods • Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, donors and Store customers. • Operate a cash register to document sale of merchandise. Refers to established pricing schedules and office records and policies • Process cash, credit card and check transactions, following established procedures for each type of sale. • Answer telephone and provide ReStore information, directions, meeting the caller's needs. • Daily organizing, cleaning and straightening of ReStore keeping it neat and clean. • Screen for product usability when donors call or bring in donations. • Item pricing and preparation for display as directed by Resale Store Manager.Other Duties as Assigned by the ReSTore Manager
