Forklift Operator's must be experienced with a good safety and attendance record. The forklift operators will transfer lumber between various plant operations and comply with applicable safety regulations.
What you need to be successful:
- Must have:
- excellent safety record
- excellent attendance record
- good interpersonal skills
- good written and oral communication skills
- Must be willing to perform all job assignments in an effective and timely manner with minimal supervision
- Must have forklift drivers or heavy equipment loader experience to qualify
- Ability to:
- work in hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment
- bend, twist, lift, climb, stand throughout the duration of the shift
- to work rotating shift, holidays and weekends
- Lace up safety toed boots with 6" uppers are required
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must successfully complete assessment tests, a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
What you will do:
- Complete equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Transfer lumber between various plant operations and comply with applicable safety regulations.
- Perform the following key phases of Basic Care:
- Inspection of equipment
- Service and minor adjustments to the equipment (when necessary)
- Cleaning of the equipment
- Documentation and reporting of results
