• Start Date: 12/02/2024
• 36 hours per week, 12 hours per day
• 3 days per week with rotating weekends and holidays
• Shift Time: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM

Position Overview: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery with maternal and child care experience. The ideal candidate must have strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills, experience in conscious sedation, and a deep commitment to providing quality care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Manage IV insertions, perform phlebotomy, and administer conscious sedation as required.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and staff to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with all state and hospital protocols and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in maternal and child care, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid New York State RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility in handling rotating weekends and holiday shifts.
