CLASS SUMMARY :
This is the second of six levels in the Transportation series. Incumbents transport customers in a large passenger vehicle. Responsibilities may include driving a large bus or van on an assigned route; inspecting assigned vehicle for cleanliness and safety; performing routine, minor vehicle maintenance; selling tickets and collecting fares; and maintaining records of activities.
***PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES DRIVING APSU STUDENTS AND/OR STAFF TO AND FROM ON CAMPUS DESTINATIONS. IF SELECTED YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THE APSU SCHOOL SCHEDULE FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. YOU MUST ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS IF APSU FUNCTIONS REQUIRE SERVICES. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED.***

- Drives a bus for the purpose of transporting riders to applicable locations, including special events.
- Performs pre- and post bus inspection activities to identify maintenance needs.
- Performs routine cleaning activities.
- Sells tickets and collects fares.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of operational records and reports.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

- Reading maps to following routes;
