Sheridan Fruit Company began in 1916 as a produce stand and has grown into one of the premier retail & wholesale businesses in Portland. We are a full-service grocery store, deli, meat department, bulk aisle and wholesale department.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible Driver to join our team in our wholesale department. As a Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will be driving a Box Truck and must have a valid Driving License and knowledge of DOT Regulations. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be critical in this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Driving License
• Experience driving a Box Truck
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial Driving experience
• Familiarity with the local area
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a Box Truck to deliver goods to customers
• Adhere to DOT Regulations and company policies and procedures
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

Skills:
As a Driver, you will use your driving skills and knowledge of DOT Regulations to safely and efficiently deliver goods to our customers. You will also use your attention to detail to perform vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records. Excellent customer service skills will be essential in ensuring a positive experience for our customers. Additionally, your problem-solving skills will be valuable in navigating any unexpected challenges that may arise during deliveries.
