WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will join our Technology Delivery team within our Enterprise Technology practice, serving end-to-end technology and digital transformations for our priority clients. You can look forward to being embedded in teams consisting of other driven and curious Bain staff, working alongside other teams on process excellence, architecture, design, and software development, among others. With this uniquely diverse group, you will serve leading companies in every industry, helping them to define and implement tech-enabled transformations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Mission

  • Ensure alignment between technology strategy and implementation, orchestrating client and third-party teams.
  • Improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of clients’ business processes and operations in the context of large tech transformations.
  • Support implementation of large scale transformation programs to ensure efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations that align with clients' goals and objectives.
  • Help in implementing project management strategies to achieve project objectives, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations, utilizing project management principles to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Identify issues, create hypotheses, and execute analysis; translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision-makers.
  • Move the client to action; develop a plan to implement the strategic recommendations; manage the execution.
  • Be a mentor to junior team members.

Essential functions

  • Participate in end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects, solving the most pressing needs of our clients focusing primarily on the delivery and operationalization of strategic initiatives to achieve significant outcomes.
  • Establish and implement PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX from inception, guiding the team through onboarding to ensure seamless project operations and efficiency.
  • Support initiatives and assist in project management processes and activities, standards, and governance to ensure project delivers value according to timeline and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to document and communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management to enhance expertise and contribute to client engagements.
  • Help in preparing and refining of project deliverables, including comprehensive reports, workshop materials, and compelling business proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
  • Research the client organization and industry; interview, conduct focus groups and facilitate workshops with client employees, management teams and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to preparing project deliverables, including reports, workshop materials, and business proposals.

ABOUT YOU

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering, Information management or other tech-related fields.
  • Preferred: Courses in digital/tech transformation.

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment, preferably within the Tech industry.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Sound knowledge in IT operating models, enterprise architecture, cloud, process excellence, and business integration.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management to deliver tangible results and value through project management expertise.
  • Good knowledge of best practices in process improvement and risk management to deliver tangible results and deliver value.
  • Adept at bridging software and systems expertise with business leadership requirements.
  • Experience using specific project management tools in large IT transformations such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management.
  • Ability to assist in preparing and presenting project deliverables to key decision-makers, articulating insights and recommendations clearly.
  • Knowledge within Tech B2B specific context.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective management and working skills, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectives.
  • Robust analytical skillset, with organized and deadline-driven ways of working.
  • A solid team player who’s also an independent thinker.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and on a tight timeline.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
