Position Overview

Responsibilities

  1. Manage staff and activities for multiple projects and develop staffing plans and schedules to meet the delivery schedule and task requirements.
  2. Lead and manage a team of Kiewit engineers and designers, ensuring they are prepared to execute and deliver project scope activities.
  3. Manage the design team to ensure the scope is met while producing quality deliverables within the required schedule, managing risk/change and the project budget.
  4. Facilitate work planning activities, oversee man-hour development, quality management, and risk/change management.
  5. Ensure that project controls measures are implemented. Conduct periodic project reviews to oversee and facilitate successful project delivery performance.
  6. Develop action plans with timelines in order to implement strategy; involve others in the process, incorporating best ideas into the plan.
  7. Interface and maintain relationships with the Owner and design partners.
  8. Mentor and develop technical capabilities of design staff.

Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of industry experience.
  2. PE strongly preferred.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR similar type experience in a related position.
  4. Prior experience serving as Project Manager, Design Manager, or Engineering Manager.
  5. Knowledge of engineering and construction standards and processes.
  6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  7. Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration.
