**Job Description:**
- Prescribe and coordinate professional nursing care for assigned obstetrics patients.
- Work independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Engage in a collaborative team environment alongside an established OB/GYN and pediatric group.
- Assess, plan, organize, supervise, provide, and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
- Cross-train in all aspects of obstetrical care in the Birthing Suite.
- Manage a unit ratio of 1:1 for active labor and 1:2/3 for mother/baby, with no OR/C-Section knowledge required.
- Provide personalized nursing care, offering a wide range of birthing options from natural childbirth to full epidural anesthesia.
- Maintain certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN or higher is preferred.
