Trucking company is seeking 2 experienced Class A CDL truck drivers, who will be dedicated and committed to transporting Intermodal Container / HAZMAT, and Dry Van loads to & from South Carolina's shipping ports and surrounding areas. This is a "Local and Regional" haul opportunity. "Trucks are sleepers" with a furnished bunk inside. These positions are for a 10-Speed Manual Shifting truck and one Automatic Shift truck. The trucks are provided. Driver must have an Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Acceptable Clearing House, with a minimum of 2 years of safe driving experience. CDL license should have no restrictions. HAZMAT Endorsement is required. This is a 1099 position.
"Home daily & a bonus offered after the first 3 months of safe & successful deliveries.
The truck driver must be able to handle the rigorous demands of bobtail chassis changing, container safety handling, and vehicle maintenance or Preventive Maintenance Checks and Servicing (PMCS) for Pre-Trips and Post Trips. Driver must be available and open to run local and regional assignments in and out of state. No exceptions.
Port Driving experience is a plus.
Driver must be punctual, reliable, and reside within an understandable commuting distance of the workplace in Charleston, SC. Truck drivers are required to have a valid TWIC Card, have a clean safe 2- year commercial driving record, pass a company required drug test, pass a background check, have Hazmat Endorsement and possess a valid 4 page DOT Medical physical to start.
