SUMMARY
May perform a variety of administrative, warehouse and clerical duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY
Performs a variety of warehouse duties including forklift operation, inventory control, receiving and
shipping to ensure accurate and safe shipment of goods to and from the customer. Also involves
interaction with the customer, managing domestic logistics for outbound shipments and basic to
intermediate clerical functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unpacks, repacks, places items, etc.
- Uses tools and visual aids to confirm quantities of freight being received and shipped
- Operates a forklift for loading and unloading
- Operates other machines for production or processing.
- Inspect the product before shipping.
- Cleans work area according to 5S standards
- Enters production data into basic spreadsheet systems
- Follows approved procedures and precautions.
- Assists in providing safe environment for all employees
- Responsible for maintaining paperwork of incoming and outgoing products.
- Monitors & controls inventory levels and data for material, reconciles, verifies FIFO, etc.
- Participates in team meetings and training
- Sorts and responds to correspondence by phone, fax, mail, electronically and/or in person
- Assisting less skilled members with daily functions
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Forklift experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to see close distance, long distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Forklift & Automotive Driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving conveyance equipment. The employee may be exposed to periods of prolonged high levels of noise. The employee may also be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee will be required to wear a safety vest, safety shoes and safety glasses. If issued a laptop computer, employee will be expected to take it home at the end of their shift and bring it back with them for the start of their next shift.
