Position Summary
Responsible for providing Guest Services associated with the operation of the Transportation Department, and the Valet Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Delivers the highest level of service while interacting with guests, peer and other Sandia employees.
  2. Travels to assigned destinations, transporting guests to and to and from the casino, resort, airport and other approved destinations.
  3. Completes a pre-inspection and completes all information on inspection sheet on vehicle prior to departure.
  4. Appropriately communicates to and acknowledges all information provided by the dispatcher.
  5. Acknowledges and follows the set department standard operational procedures.
  6. Complies with all traffic regulations.
  7. Assists passengers and their baggage/s. Assists in the loading and unloading of baggage in baggage compartment/s.
  8. Reports delays of events, traffic citations, incidents and accidents.
  9. Advises passengers on the safety requirements while traveling and may remind guest to remain seated or act in an orderly manner while in vehicle.
  10. Regulates heating, lighting and ventilating systems for passenger's comfort.
  11. Makes minor repairs or replacements to vehicles and changes tires if needed.
  12. Always maintains cleanliness of vehicle/s.
  13. Builds a professional relationship with internal and external contact while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  14. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

  4. Builds relationships with guests based upon respect, and confidence while maintaining a friendly, and approachable demeanor.
Key Performance Indicators
This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared to all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Knowledge of vehicle/s and vehicle usage of air brakes.
  2. Knowledge of city of Albuquerque streets, roads, airports and surrounding areas.
  3. Excellent guest service skills.
  4. Knowledge of hazards and standard safety practices related to the operation of assigned vehicles.
  5. Knowledge of the operations, services, activities, promotions of the resort, casino and transportation programs.
  6. Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
  7. Ability to maintain and update proper certifications.
  8. Ability to respond to requests and inquiries from the general public.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
Required:
  1. Must be at least 25 years of age.
  2. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  3. One (1) year of experience in guest services and /or dealing with the general public
  4. Ability to drive Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles.
Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.
License/Certifications/Registrations
  1. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License.
  2. Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement is preferred.
  3. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  4. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. (up to 50 lbs.)

Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. (Up to 50 lbs.)
Pushing
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward. (Up to 50 lbs.)

The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye.

Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations.

The worker is subject to:
  1. Visual acuity requirements: to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  2. Activities occur inside and outside. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
  3. Noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  4. Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or extreme cold. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement, asphalt structures and surfaces.
