Are you an experienced driver with a background in warehouse and logistics management? Do you excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler-Driver to join our team and contribute to our logistics operations and strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety best practices on the road and during loading/unloading of company vehicles.
- Perform vehicle checks, including cleanliness and operational inspections, before and after use.
- Maintain vehicle fuel levels, fill up as necessary, and submit receipts for records.
- Accurately log delivery information and communicate clearly with team members about pickups and deliveries.
- Attend production meetings and update required reports.
- Perform manual and clerical duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Train to receive materials and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Sort, count, and check received goods, raw materials, finished parts, and subassemblies.
- Issue materials, supplies, components, and parts from stock.
- Stock kits for production departments and verify, count, or document shortages.
- Prepare shortage documentation and review inventory status reports.
- Interface and support internal/external customers, including production, quality, engineering, small carriers, and trucking companies.
- Ship products and other items as required.
- Deliver or pick up items to customer or supplier locations as needed.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.Position: Driver
Location: Milpitas
Duration: Temp to Hire
Salary: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Day Shift: 8 am - 4:30 pm
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess and Maintain a Clean Driving Record w/Class C license
- Minimum of 2 years of ESD, MSL, and Raw component and material handling experience
- Previous Stand-Up Reach Forklift experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to keep accurate documentation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word and Excel
- Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with all employees
- Ability to consistently work Scheduled Shift 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Overtime may be required if Requested and Authorized by Management
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and a CLEAN MVR
- Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds
- Steady hand dexterity
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
