Data Collection: Unit Information: Location: Building: one building only Floor: 4th Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 70724 Discipline: Labor and Delivery Quantity: Deliveries per year 2600 Target Start Date: ASAP Shift: 1 AM and 1 PM Call Requirements twice per schedule Weekends: two weekend per schedule (AM Saturday and Sunday and PM Friday and Saturday). General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds LDRs 15, 2OBED, 5 recovery bays, 3 ORs, 5 antepartum Number of Staff 52 Type of staff: o Day Shift 1charge RN, 1OBED RN, 4 RN, 2OB tech, 1unit clerk o Night Shift 1 charge RN, 1OBED RN, 4RN, 1OB tech, 1unit clerk Patient Ratios Labor 2:1, Antepartum 4:1, PACU 2:1, PP 6:1 Type of equipment GE fetal monitoring, Panda warmer, Hillroom labor beds EMR CPN and Meditech Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) No Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. L&D background to include experience with circulating the OR for c-section deliveries BLS, ACLS, NRP Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Postpartum care background List typical procedures performed on unit(s): C-section, BTL, cerclage, D&C, Inductions, mechanical dilators (dilapan and cervical balloon). Outpatient services such as Rhogam, iron infusion, antenatal steroids, OBED Best personality Fit: Open mind Positive Team player Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Galaxy blue and need a patch from Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare Close shoes Unit Guidelines/Policies: below are the most common policies to use. L&D Oxytocin Protocol, Induction of labor, guidelines for care of the maternal hemorrhage patient, guidelines for care of the maternal severe hypertensive/preeclampsia patient, magnesium sulfate, MEWS, glucose management for the diabetic OB patient.
