**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** RN Medical Center - L&D
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12hr Night Shift (36 hours per week)

**Experience:** 2 years in Level III Perinatal Care
**License:** RN License
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP, FHM
**Must-Have:**
- Level III Perinatal Care Experience
- Experience with high-risk mothers/newborns
**Job Description:**
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication.
- Care for high-risk mothers and newborns, including knowledge and support for placenta accreta, tubal ligation, cerclage, and hysterectomies.
- Assist as a secondary nurse for C-section deliveries and circulate in vaginal deliveries, manage surgical recovery, care for newborns, handle massive transfusions, pre-eclampsia, and COVID-19 cases.
- Conduct fetal monitoring, maternal assessments/interventions, cervical exams for labor progression, OB triage, and post-partum care.
- Serve as the primary nurse for vaginal deliveries and assist with procedures and L&D recoveries.
- Support from a charge nurse with patient assignments based on staffing.
- Work with clinical resource nurses, phlebotomy, RT, house supervisor, certified nurse midwives, OBGYN providers, and OB anesthesia available 24/7.
- Utilize EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, Fetal Monitoring, and Epidural Pumps for charting and monitoring.
- Float to Postpartum and Women’s Care Center as needed, primarily for inpatient women who have had procedures done.
- Achieve training through a structured orientation program with a preceptor and work buddy.
- No set schedules, with the need to be available seven days a week and the possibility of working every other weekend.
- Meet holiday expectations based on start date.
- Scrub color provided.
