- BLS & ACLS (Must be through AHA).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- AWHONN-Advanced.
Certification Details
- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L/D nurse for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN and CA License.
Job Details
- 2 full years of experience in L/D.
- Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN certifications.
- Hold an active CA License.
Job Requirements
- 12 hours shifts; 7a - 7p / 7p - 7a.
- 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law).
- Weekends: Usually every other weekend (same as perm staff).
Schedule Information
- No nurse aides, but have OB techs that help with C-sections & assist as needed with baby cares.
- Charge Nurse: Around the clock, does not take patients.
- Breaks: 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law).
- Unit Orientation: 2 shifts on the unit, will also meet with the educator.
- Doc System: CERNER REQUIRED.
- Add'l equipment: Pagers linked to call light system & internal spectralink phones.
- Tele: Post-surgery only for the hour post-surgery C-section.
- RT 24/7: Yes.
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
- No floating required as it is a Closed Unit; Nights, EOW, first to float.
Unit Specific Information
- *NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS*.
- **CERNER IS REQUIRED!**
