Our client, Waste Management Company is seeking a Driver Assistant to join their team. As a Driver Assistant, you will assisting the Delivery drivers as well as warehouse associate. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, adaptability and being a team player which will align successfully in the organization.

Duration: Temp-perm
Hours: 6AM-4PM
What’s the Job?
Assist Delivery Driver on making deliveries.
Occasionally Operate 16’ Box Truck to make on time deliveries
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Occasionally assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping/receiving documentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including trucks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to always ensure a safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiencies.
What’s Needed?
High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience driving Box truck on NYC streets.
Proven experience with GPS and Delivery Software
Understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to strict safety standards.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery in a controlled, precise manner.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed to support Delivery demands.
Ability to work 6 days a week and 10-hour days
Must get medical Card from Doctor (DOT requirement)
