Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated CDL Class A Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team at the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Responsibilities
Transportation and Delivery:

• Safely operate truck and/or box truck to transport goods from various locations to the food bank's warehouse and distribution points, including backpack deliveries to schools in Palm Beach County, Groceries for Seniors, and food drive pickups.
• Execute loading and unloading procedures for food and supplies, ensuring proper handling and compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and report any maintenance or issues as needed.

Logistics and Coordination:

• Plan and coordinate delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation of food and supplies.
• Maintain records of mileage and condition of truck.
• Maintain appearance of truck at all times. Truck must be washed weekly and free from debris inside the cab/trailer.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to prioritize and manage inventory, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.

Warehouse Support:

• Assist in warehouse operations, i.e., unloading truck, palletizing, sorting, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse space, following health and safety standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for deliveries, including logs, receipts, and other relevant records.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues encountered during transportation or within the warehouse.

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, including DOT regulations, while operating the commercial vehicle.
• Uphold food safety standards and best practices for handling and storage within the warehouse.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in driving and delivery operations.
• Clean driving record.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
