This position will also perform receiving and/or shipping functions as assigned by department supervisor. In addition, the Forklift Operator will assist with daily cycle count and yearly physical inventory processes.DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Record product transfers within the warehouse and provide real-time updates to the Oracle inventory management system with the use of the radio frequency bar coding system. If system is unavailable, accurately record products transferred on a Move Ticket and return to the Warehouse Supervisor for immediate update into the Oracle inventory management system.Operate forklifts in a safe and appropriate manner to ensure no damage occurs to the product, pallet racks, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment within the warehouse while loading/unloading trucks, transferring, and storing products.Process in a timely manner all inbound and/or outbound shipments in accordance with applicable SOPs.Perform daily forklift inspections to ensure optimum use of material handling equipment. Document the inspection on the daily checklist and report any equipment problems to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.Perform cycle count and physical inventory processes in accordance with set counting schedules. Accurately record counts and report any variances found during count process.Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area keeping a constant watch for any safety issues. Notify Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager or Security immediately of any unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the work area.
