THE ROLE: Service Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

As a Service Delivery Manager with Presidio, you will be involved in operational and management tasks for the Managed Services Business Operations Team focusing on external vendor relationships. This includes managing current 3rd party service providers and onboarding new ones. Responsibilities cover facilitating and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, creating vendor standards, and selecting vendors based on quality, price, and performance. The individual will manage various vendor agreements, ensuring high performance and excellent customer experience. Additionally, the role supports optimization, transformation opportunities, and the implementation of process enhancements to improve Managed Services performance.

Travel Requirements:

This role has the ability to be remotely based within the Continental US. Up to 25% travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop proposals for both strategic and tactical sourcing initiatives
  2. Provide hands-on management of vendor relationships
  3. Establish and review purchasing contracts and oversee competitive bidding processes
  4. Oversee and manage a company-wide process that results in establishing and meeting cost savings goals and spearhead negotiations to reduce material costs and the implementation of other cost control measures
  5. Administering complete life cycle for vendor management processes and incorporating best practices
  6. Designing guidelines for vendors and utilizing standard tools
  7. Perform as a functional bridge between external vendors as well as internal stakeholders
  8. Coordinate all vendor management tasks, including working with external vendors and internal employees
  9. Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment, and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished
  10. Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present them to management as required
  11. Identify and implement continuously enhanced efficiencies associated with vendor management plus produce fulfillment
  12. Formulate workflow processes, methods, and policies for applying vendors
  13. Ensure collaboration with IT areas to assure vendor partners effectively manage plus contracts are completely leveraged
  14. Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency across business partner processes
  15. Develops and maintains productive business partner and vendor relationships to ensure the convergence of business and technical requirements
  16. Assists business partners with the evaluation and communication of business issues and the development of business processes and technical solutions that reduce risk
  17. Partners with business leadership to develop budget projections based on short- and long-term goals and objectives
  18. Supports operational risk management activities with risk evaluation and treatment recommendations
  19. Improve delivery capability and effectiveness - Impacting the Managed Services business through the following efforts:
  20. Lower cost to deliver
  21. Continuously improve delivery quality and accuracy
  22. Deliver a client experience that is consistent with our service culture
  23. Build and establish a customer relationship with key personnel through regular interactions. Ensures customer satisfaction and supports the creation of a true problem management discipline within Managed Services

Required Skills:

  1. Experience working as part of a leadership team, with a keen understanding of business strategy, business process, and how vendor management aligns with overall business priorities
  2. Extensive experience managing outside vendors and consultants, with solid negotiation skills required
  3. Experience in cross-functional planning methodologies and process management
  4. Ability to motivate project teams to drive a sense of urgency to meet project goals and commitments.
  5. Ability to manage cross-functional and divisional teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  6. Ability to conduct meetings and provide project status with senior leadership
  7. Accurately report on completed projects, including measurement of improvements
  8. Ad hoc projects, consultations, and activities identified, as assigned
  9. Ability to communicate technical information using non-technical language
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization. Ability to remain calm and courteous in periods of stress
  11. Ability to work on several problems simultaneously
  12. Ability to maintain complex operational processes
  13. Capable of managing several projects simultaneously
  14. Ability to identify risks and translate that information to internal/external teams
  15. Collaborates with customers to help identify risks and future service performance opportunities

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  2. 5 + years of experience as a manager or higher leadership role in an operations and planning organization and a track record that demonstrates positions of increasing responsibility and accomplishment
