Position Overview

As the Director of Labor & Delivery, you will organize, direct, and supervise the functions of the OB unit encompassing five Labor & Delivery rooms, 15 postpartum beds, and a one bed level 2 nursery (NICU). This includes ensuring that policy and procedures are followed, safe staffing levels are maintained, supplies and equipment are adequate, and efficient patient throughput is managed.

Our Director will also develop, implement, and manage the department budget, engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invest in lifelong learning for staff professional development, and assure employees complete all required annual competencies. You will communicate important information to the CNO and other senior leadership members as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (Required)
• Master's degree (Preferred)

License:

• Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state (Required)

Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in a Director-level position (Required)
