Role Overview:
We're looking for a reliable, organized, and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver/ Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles . Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves handling the washing, delivery, and collection of reusable products using our specialized 26ft box truck equipped with a hydraulic liftgate as needed. Your contributions will directly impact our mission of promoting sustainability and reducing waste in event spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload cases of product from the box truck with precision and care.
- Sort and prepare dirty cups for washing.
- Operate a commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize cups.
- Inspect products for quality assurance.
- Pack and organize clean products for delivery to customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning and cleanliness prior to delivery to customers.
- Accompany the Operations Manager on deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Perform order deliveries using company vehicles and technology such as our company’s App while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to execute delivery plans effectively.
- Represent r.World professionally during client interactions.
- Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and operational checklists.
- Familiarize yourself with local routes and optimize delivery efficiency.
- Provide support in wash cycle activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating a 26ft box truck or similar vehicle (professional experience required).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (commercial driver's license preferred).
- Ability to drive safely in diverse weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a DOT medical exam
- Strong commitment to safety standards and protocols.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in operating a pallet jack, ratchet straps, pallet wrap, and using GPS/routing systems.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate in a team environment.
