# of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1
# of Births per day/month/year: 58 per month
Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: 1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips. 1:3 couplet care.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mix. Mainly obstetric/neonates, hypertension, GDM, try not to deliver anyone less than 36 weeks
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable or set rate drips: pitocin, insulin, magnesium
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?: Yes
Does the charge nurse on shift take an assignment?: Yes
Are RNs required to read their own strips?: Yes
EMR: Meditech
Shifts: 0645-1915, 1845-0715
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
Is there a call or standby requirement?: Depends on staffing
Floating Requirements: Yes - Medsurg, ER. Wherever in the hospital the nurse is needed
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3 shifts

Job Requirements

Experience or 'Must have' skills: able to read and interpret fetal strips, critical thinking, follow quality metrics, previous travel experience, must be able to read strips - will float to Medsurg & ER as needed

Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday

Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? Duties?: Yes, CNA, vitals, help with transfer paperwork, remain at desk when needed due to being a locked unit, help turn, ambulate patients
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): Yes
What brand are the tele monitors?: Philips
EFM System: traceview/PIP

No OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7
No anesthesia in house 24/7

Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
