Forklift Operator

Position Title: Forklift Operator - 12 Hour Day or Night Shift
Wage: $17.05/hour
Shift: 12 Hour Days or Nights
Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm (Friday - Saturday) / 6:00am - 5:30pm (Sunday - Monday) or 5:30pm - 5:30am (Tuesday - Friday)
This union automotive manufacturing company needs experienced and safety-driven Forklift Operators in the North Kansas City area. Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, day and night opportunities available!
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Obtain forklift license and certification from client on first day on sit down forklift
- Operate hilo truck
- Move merchandise to storage, properly documenting locations and/ or scanning locations and product
- Ensure implementation of quality and safety procedures
- Work with other associates to set up machine
- Stack, pack, mark and transport finished items
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
Requirements for Forklift Operator:
- Previous experience in automotive or electrical assembly is a plus
- Previous forklift experience
- Previous exposure to warehouse environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to lift up to 35lbs
- Able to sit or stand for entire shift
- Able to reach and grab with hands and arms
- Able to stoop, bend and kneel as needed
- Able to grasp steering wheel and controls for the entire shift
