- Strong time management and critical thinking skills
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care considering population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Coordinate safe, quality patient care and documentation, promoting a respectful clinical environment.
- Participate in performance improvement and support shared governance.
- Mentor and precept other nursing professionals and students.
- Promote evidence-based practice and research, posing relevant clinical questions and consulting appropriate resources.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum.
- Develop and support protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes, such as reducing re-admission rates.
- Use human and material resources efficiently and effectively.
