Forklift Operator - 3rd shift -Alma

The Alma plant has an openings for a Forklift Operator with opportunities for overtime. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Alma, KS, and enjoy competitive wages ($20.75/hr + $1/hr shift differential) along with a comprehensive benefits package. Work hours will be 3rd shift (10PM- 6AM). Weekend work is required.

Responsibilities will include assisting with set up for daily 1st shift production to include bringing meats, spices, and packaging supplies to lines. Similar responsibilities of returning items to cooler/freezer/warehouse at the end of 2nd shift. Organization and cleanliness of coolers/freezer/warehouses, cleaning of lifts, and other activities or job duties as assigned by supervision. This position will also cover for the sleeveline position in their absence. Duties include loading/warehousing finished goods, accurate documentation of finished goods, operation on robotic palletizer, and other activiteis as assigned by sueprvision. Following proper procedures, attention to detail, and accuracy of paperwork are extremely important in this position. Excellent communication skills are necessary. All while making people safety and food safety the number one priority.

Preference will be given for relevant food manufacturing and industrial forklift experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.

The ability to read and write to accurately complete job related paperwork.

The ability to perform repetitive hand & wrist motion throughout a shift.

The ability to lift/push/pull 50+lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.

The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.

The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.

The ability to perform grasping & pinching motions to complete job related tasks.

Working Conditions:

Refrigerated environment - temperatures average negative 10 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
