Our client is a comprehensive, fully integrated healthcare delivery system that serves the greater North Shore and Illinois communities with several hospitals over and too many awards to list!
Their flagship hospital has over 350+ beds and is seeking a Manager of L&D to take their department to greater heights of patient care delivery and service.
Position Overview:
Our client has engaged us to identify and screen a Manager Labor and Delivery for one of the largest and busiest units in the State. This very exciting and rewarding position will help BUILD and train a team to help manage the patient population for the system!
Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability and responsibility in his/her assigned clinical areas for the professional nursing practice, professional development and education of the staff, performance improvement initiatives, fiscal management of the department, adherence to all regulatory compliance standards, and creates an environment within the department that promotes customer loyalty for all customer groups (patients, families, physicians, and employees).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing required from an accredited nursing school.
- Masters degree in nursing, business, or a healthcare related discipline preferred.
- Supervisory experience.
- Labor and Delivery experience required.
