This position could be located in NY (primary), NJ, CT, MA, RI, VA, PA, NC, FL, GA, TX, IL, WA, CA. Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice is made up of a team of professionals providing dedicated tax technical services to both US and global clients.

Your key responsibilities as a senior analyst in FSO EDGE WAM will include:

  1. Delivering tax compliance and consulting work for clients.
  2. Supporting new and existing client relationships.
  3. Providing compliance and consulting delivery services to meet deadlines for client deliverables.
  4. Preparing or detailing review complex financial closings, tax compliance filings, and other tax-related processes or tasks.
  5. Compiling and/or evaluating moderately complex data, computations, documentation, and various tax and accounting technologies.
  6. Responsible for Service Quality across identified aspects of delivery.
  7. Understanding opportunity risk in relation to our Scope of Services.
  8. Developing, documenting, and gaining cross-functional alignment on processes to support processes and internal teams.
  9. Demonstrating deep technical excellence in specific offerings and broadening technical skills across capabilities.
  10. Maintaining internal network by providing technical assistance to others within EY in area of expertise.
  11. Providing professional direction and day-to-day supervision to staff members.
  12. Reviewing and evaluating the work of staff members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  13. Providing effective leadership, formal and informal feedback, and coaching to staff.

Skills and attributes for success:

  1. Experience identifying tax-related issues and developing recommended solutions via research and/or position development.
  2. Experience interacting with clients on a regular basis in the delivery of services.
  3. Experience managing team members delivering tax consulting and compliance projects for clients.
  4. Demonstrating a significant degree of independent judgment to identify potential issues and opportunities for tax planning and provide appropriate recommendations.
  5. Ability to break down tax projects into manageable components, analyze relevant information, and formulate client-centric solutions that comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  6. Ability to manage multiple work assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
  7. Demonstrating a high level of professional ethics and integrity while managing sensitive or confidential client information.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
  2. A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant tax experience or equivalent experience in the financial services industry.
  3. Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax.
  4. Excellent teaming, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  1. Familiarity with the financial services industry.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), or licensed attorney.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $81,100 to $133,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $97,400 to $152,100.

Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
