REVISED: 3/25/2021SUMMARY: This role is responsible in working with a Senior Assessor as part of a two-man team patrolling an area of distribution facilities in need of restorations caused by accident or natural event.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as a driver for a two-person team.Assist the Senior Assessor with taking notes, reading maps and other miscellaneous tasks not requiring utility experience.May be assigned to Area Field Manager to assist with Administrative duties.Responsible to communicate hazardous situation information (downed wire, tree online, service line low, etc.) to the general public or utility representative is required.Perform other duties as assigned by management.COMPLEXITY OF WORK:Generally routine, established precedents; practices and procedures exist.RELATIONSHIP OUTSIDE WORK GROUP:Exchange of information, which occasionally requires tact and/or diplomacy.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Items marked + will be furnished by Pike Engineering:Reflective Vest (Class III) + Safety GlassesHard Hat + Hard Toe BootsLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
