Cork Medical is a fast-paced medical device & equipment company seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver in the Louisville, KY area. The Medical Equipment Delivery Technician will deliver and set up Durable Medical Equipment such as hospital beds, low air loss mattresses, wound vacs, as well as deliver wound care supplies in patient homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health facilities.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Safely drives and maintains company vehicles.
  • Securely loads and stages delivery vehicles.
  • Functionally checks and selects ordered medical equipment and supplies.
  • Completes deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls in an efficient manner.
  • Educates home care customers and other end users on medical equipment and supply use by covering key operating features and performing demonstrations.
  • Interacts with patients and customers that may be of various ages.
  • Performs assessments and reassessments of each customers care or service needs.
  • Collects accurate patient information to support care, service and treatment operations, which includes demographic, billing, and medical information.
  • Refers service complaints and compliments to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicates with company's customers that may be of various ages.
  • Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy medical equipment long distances, and up and down stairs of patients homes or apartment buildings.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Be able to perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment both in the home and at the designated warehouse.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record as well as a current, valid driver's license
  • Must maintain Company vehicle in clean and orderly manner.
  • Clean rental equipment when returned to the warehouse in accordance with Cork Medical Policies and Procedures.
  • Work as an On-Call Service Representative both evenings and weekends as assigned.
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • MUST have 1-2 years driving experience.
  • Able to show professionalism at all times
