Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager and Driver will manage day to day operations of the warehouse, including scheduling deliveries, being responsible for inventory, and scheduling employees. This position will assist in all operations, such as loading and unloading trucks, tracking the material and the scaffold going in and out of the warehouse, and other duties as assigned by the Area Manager. This position will be the main point of contact for all things warehouse with field managers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage warehouse employees and schedule time and deliveries.
  • Drives and operates various equipment and vehicles to and from project sites.
  • Track inventory being shipped, received, and stored.
  • Assembles various products and equipment to be used in the field.
  • Organize inventory / equipment in effective manner.
  • Obeys traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate driving logs in compliance with company policy and DOT guidelines.
  • Completes vehicle inspection reports to ensure vehicle and equipment are safe to operate before leaving sites and stays within DOT compliance.
  • Immediately report all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employees or others to the Safety Manager or Supervisors on site.
  • Maintains equipment and vehicles, helps in operation of equipment, and understands the ability of the equipment and how to operate it in a safe manner.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • CDL Preferred, but must have a chauffeur's license.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairways regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to observe conditions and others as safety attendant staying alert while seated for long periods of time as needed.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other tools and equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform inspections of site, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
  • Ability to follow safety protocol and to report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately to the site supervisor and safety manager.

Training

  • Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies.
