Job Description:

We are looking to add another full-time, dedicated Route Driver to our Customer Service team Portland, OR. To be successful this individual would need to be highly driven, reliable, and customer service oriented with a passion for ensuring positive customer experiences. You’ll be supporting the existing Customer Service Representatives who conduct route delivery and customer account management, while training to run your own permanent route. Choose your own hours as you’ll be able to select which route you shadow each day and become the route expert with knowledge of every route in the city! See below for details.

This position is a training position with near term growth opportunity . You’ll be training with an existing Customer Service Representative until you’re able to take the next available route and book of business. After completion of the training period, you’ll step into the Customer Service Representative position accompanied by an increase in pay, responsibility increase, and enjoy a 4-day work week!

You will be able to take pride in your work as the go-to person for resolving customer requests, advising customers on new items to enhance their locations, and taking initiative in anticipating their needs. 

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 2+ years customer service or sales experience
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Read, write, speak English fluently (bi-lingual a plus!)
  • Possess basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driver's license in good standing (minimal infractions)
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Able to work independently in the field (be a self-starter)
  • Pre-employment and random drug screens for all fleet vehicle drivers
  • Must pass background check and provide professional references

New System  is a family owned and operated, growth minded, passionate, and innovative Northwest linen service company that provides commercial laundry and linen supplies to the hospitality, health care and industrial Customer Partners in the Pacific NW.

As a Route Driver - Customer Service Support you will be responsible for the route service, route sales support, driving a 16 ft. box truck (CDL not required) to our customer locations, the loading and unloading of inventory, account management, and customer relationship management.
