RK&K is seeking a well-qualified individual to develop procurement strategies, advise clients, and draft contract documents for traditional and alternative delivery of transportation and water/wastewater projects. This Procurement and Contracts Advisor position requires significant interaction with both internal and external clients across RK&K's markets and geographic regions. This is a hands-on position requiring both advising of clients and development of work product. Location is flexible but will need to be a drivable distance from an RK&K office location.
Essential Function
- Conduct Project Risk Analysis and make Procurement Type Recommendations.
- Develop contract documents for traditional and alternative project delivery.
- Coordinate with technical teams for the development of appropriate technical and performance specifications.
- Verify compliance with Federal, State and Local requirements for public procurements.
- Develop procurement and evaluation processes and assist Owners with procurement administration.
- Assist Owners with Industry Meetings, Pre-Proposal Meetings, Confidential Meetings, etc.
- Coordinate with Third Parties and draft 3rd party agreements.
- Conduct contract review/analysis with respect to actual or potential contract claims.
- Assist in the development of Teaming Agreements and Professional Services Agreements for alternative delivery projects.
- Participation in the marketing and growth of RK&K's Owner Advisory Services.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a BS in Engineering, Business or other related field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work with and coordinate efforts of technical staff, non-technical staff, and legal advisors required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
