WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Operates a gas or electric forklift in the warehouse.
  • Performs daily machine inspections while adhering to established safety procedures.
  • Moves product to work areas according to production schedule.
  • Stacks product in storage areas and loads shipments into trailer(s), container(s), and/or railcar(s).
  • Unloads full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, and checks pallets for accuracy to order.
  • Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, and consolidates partial pallets when needed.
  • Labels, sorts, wraps, and ties inventory products.
  • Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
  • Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
WHAT WE NEED
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Minimum of one year or more of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
  • Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
