OverviewLocation: McDonough, GAOverview:Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering trailers of freight to applicable transportation hubs or alternate designated drop locations safely, legally and on-time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity due to chang ing outdoor weather conditions.ResponsibilitiesSafely operates a tractor trailer truck that transports frozen, cooler and dry cargo to and from various DC and hub locations.Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to Federal and State DOT and Motor Carrier regulations.Must be able to utilize and understand an on-board computer system (ie PeopleNet).Maintains contact with the Operations department to effectively and professionally communicate any problems or delays.Responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle.
