OverviewOur Orlando, FL office is looking for a Civil Operator or Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Power Delivery team!ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage drafting and plan preparation standardsDeveloptechnical drawings and plansThe person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculationsRequires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasksHas knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changesMaintains drawing databaseWill supervise and train CAD staffCoordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality controlDevelop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standardsQualifications8+ years of relevant experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settingsAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley productsStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learnAbility to work independently and with a teamWillingness to mentor and teach othersDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starterWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
