Organizes, plans, and manages the on-going management and delivery of data assets or solutions aligned to those same business units and functional areas. Chiefly responsible for development of data pipelines to support incident management framework where timing and inputs may require flexibility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong ability to drive data solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.Responsible for automating existing HQL scripts to an automated process, which supports flexible input files.May be responsible for updating data scripts to support bolstered data analysis.Responsible for ensuring the alignment to a data strategy and roadmap based on objectives and priorities for and aligned business team.Partner with the business to deliver data solutions to meet business requirements, coordinating across technology service providers as needed.Ensure the implementation and adherence to data governance, data architecture, cyber security, and other technology standards across applications within the portfolio.Responsible for the driving or supporting the successful closure of data and analytics audit issues, regulatory issues self-identified issues and other data deficiencies.Ensure the alignment with business units or functional areas, support of innovation and driving towards to the target-state data technologies.Responsible for the leading or supporting the successful management of projects and budgets and ensuring identified priorities are delivered within a defined timeframe.May manage a small team or mentor junior teammatesQUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and experienceDemonstrated experience driving data execution, including a combination of the following: data engineering, software delivery, business intelligence and reporting, and/or master and reference data managementDemonstrated experience in project management and managing against a defined budgetProven problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgement in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and prioritiesBanking or financial services experienceDemonstrated understanding and delivery of regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment on the cloudExperience in managing a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocations according to predefined budgets, for full-time and contract resources across US and non-US locationsAbility to understand and deliver business units or functional area priorities against defined and timelines.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and 8 years of experience managing complex IT projectsProven experience in delivering automated data pipelinesFunctional and technical knowledge of data architecture, solution architecture, analytics, client data capabilitiesSkills demonstrated in data engineering, business intelligence and report delivery, data transformation, and regulatory program deliverySkills demonstrated in risk managementExperience in solution designs based upon business requirementsExperience working with Anaconda or comparable data toolsExperience working with SnowflakeGeneral Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
