Van Driver

We are looking for an effective Warehouse Lead to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities

1. Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
2. Constantly develop knowledge of the logistics ecosystem
3. Serve as a liaison between our logistics partners and carriers
4. Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and 3PL operations
5. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
6. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
7. Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
8. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
9. Work with Operations Manager to optimize budget
10. Liaise with drivers, employees, customer service, and transport companies
11. Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees
12. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
13. Solve package and driver issues as they arise
14. Drive company transit van to outer markets to deliver cargo to fleet of drivers
15. Responsible for reconciling all drivers' packages when distributing and collecting them
16. Be able to frequently move boxes weighing up to 30-50 pounds

Requirements

1. Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
2. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
3. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
4. Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
5. Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
6. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Preferred BS degree
9. Valid driver's license
10. Experience driving a transit van
