Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Class B Front Load Commercial Driver to join the team at our Hauling location in Fife, WA . Previous waste experience would be a huge plus !
Qualified candidates must have experience with 13-18 Speed Manual Trucks.
PAY AND SCHEDULE:
Competitive Wages start between $35.00 and $35.50/HR
A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday , with an occasional Saturday as needed, 45-hour work week.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class BCDLwithair brakesendorsement as a minimum.
Ability to safely operate a Class B manual transmission vehicle on specified routes.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to safely operate a Class B Front Load garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routinevehicle inspectionand maintenance, such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, sometimes with no helpers.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Courteousinteraction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
It requires extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
The work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which requires following basic safety precautions.
The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
