About The Position
  • Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery **Job Duration:** 14 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** 2-3 years preferred, first-time travelers okay **License:** GA or Compact license must be in hand **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP, FHM **Must-Have:** Both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby experience **Job Description:** - Care for pregnant patients through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages, as well as newborn care. - Be functional in both labor and delivery and family care settings. - Assist in procedures such as Cesarean Sections, External Versions, Inductions of Labor, Epidurals, and Blood Patches. - Adhere to a patient ratio of 1:6. - Float based on needs within the skill set. - Work holidays if they fall within the assignment period; specifics depend on the number of holidays. - Attend a 13-hour orientation session. - Wear specified scrubs: shocking pink and black. - Be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs promptly. **Schedule Requirements:** - Requests for time off are limited to a maximum of 7 days. - No guaranteed blocked scheduling. - May include scheduled call on rare occasions. - Commit to working major holidays if assigned, with specific expectations based on the number of holidays occurring during the assignment. Candidates are expected to stay compliant and adhere to orientation schedules to ensure an on-time start.
