ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites, particularly on solar projects.
• Perform earthmoving activities, including digging, trenching, loading, and grading, following project specifications and safety standards.
• Assist in site preparation, including leveling ground, clearing debris, and backfilling trenches.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and perform routine maintenance on the excavator, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members, including general laborers, site supervisors, and other equipment operators, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the project supervisor.
• Extended hours of work may occur, with a single shift lasting as long as 12 hours.
• Overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must have experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials, adhering to all safety standards.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the project site.
• Ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to convey a positive and professional attitude, adhering to Moss core values.
• To ensure a safe work environment, a pre-employment drug test is required.
