Job Description
The CDL Route Delivery Driver will delivers and exchange cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basis
Delivers product to specified points of delivery
Supervises the up-keep of delivery vehicles, including interior and exterior cleanliness
Completes delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately, returning said paperwork to the appropriate facility personnel
Assists in cleaning and disinfecting rental equipment
Loads and unloads freight and accurately fills out truck manifest
Accurately fills out gas invoices
Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary
On-Call rotation required
Qualifications
Class A, B or C CDL (depends upon truck driven) with Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) endorsement and excellent driving record
No at fault accidents or DOT (Department of Transportation) moving violations in the past 3 years
Familiar with all DOT and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations
Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbs
Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
Ability to work safely around special hazards (i.e. mechanical – operating lift gate, and explosives – haul and work around flammable gas and non-flammable gas)
Ability to sit for extended periods of time approximately 50% of time
